Wilson’s World: It is The Salvation Army’s 2016 Angel Tree Distribution Day

The Salvation Army Angel Tree will make Christmas a little brighter for over 10,000 children in the Charlotte area.

CHARLOTTE, N. C. – WCCB TV and Wilson have been working hard with the Salvation Army this holiday season to make sure that all of the Angel Tree angels have a great Christmas.  Today is the day when all of the hard work was worth it….it is distribution day.  Two Men and a Truck have been picking up gifts from all of the drop off points to bring to the distribution center located on Arrowood Road.

Again this year the great people at The Spokes Group have supplied bikes for the project.  With the 3,000 bikes they are donating this year, they will have donated over 40,000 bikes over the last 23 years.

More than 10,000 children in the Charlotte area will have a much brighter Christmas thanks to the work of everyone who chose an angel to help.

WCCB wants to thank Two Men and a Truck, Concord Mills Mall and Subway Restaurants for partnering with them to make this year’s Virtual Angel Tree a larger success than last year.

Don’t forget, the red kettles are still out through the holidays.  The Salvation Army still needs your help for their year round work.  To find out more about all of the great work that the Salvation Army does, click HERE.
