Wilson’s World: Getting the Kids Excited About Flying at Aviation Camps of the Carolinas
CONCORD, N.C. – Are your kids into airplanes and flying? Wilson has found just the place for your kids to learn more about aviation at the Aviation Camps of the Carolinas. Located in Concord on Aviation Blvd, the single day camp not only teaches kids more about aviation, but it also instills self confidence, leadership qualities and goal achievement into each camp attendee.
Brenda Robinson is the President and Director of the camp as well as a camp speaker. Ms. Robinson was the nation’s first African American Navy and carrier pilot and has been flying planes for 40 years.
Fly Right, a professional pilot training facility is a partner with the Aviation Camps of the Carolinas. Wilson even got behind the controls of one of their flight simulators where he managed to keep the plane in the air without crashing!
Members of the bomb squad, fire department, civil air patrol and the K-9 unit as well as Ms. Robinson will all be speaking to the students.
The camp is open to students in grades 4 through 12. There are still a few openings for their camp on December 28th. For more information on the camp and additional camp dates, go their website at aviationcamps.org.
