Additional Reward Being Offered By The Family Of A Man Killed In E. Charlotte Hit-And-Run

UPDATE: The family of Corey Brown says they are offering an additional $500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the fatal hit-and-run case.

The total reward money now being offered is $1500. CMPD says a $1000 reward is also being offered through Crime Stoppers.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating a fatal hit-and-run in east Charlotte on Lawyers Road and Donnefield Drive.

Officials say they responded to the 7200 block of Lawyers Road in reference to a person down on the sidewalk at approximately 6:13 pm Sunday evening.

Officers identified the pedestrian lying on the sidewalk as 25-year-old Corey Brown.

CMPD say that Brown died on scene.

Officials say that evidence found at the scene show that Brown was struck by a vehicle and came to rest on the sidewalk after the crash.

The driver of the vehicle involved in this crash fled the scene.

This hit and run is currently under investigation.
