There’s Still Time To Get Registered For The 7th Annual Keep Pounding 5K
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Registration for the 7th annual Keep Pounding 5K is still open. Sir Purr stopped at Levine Children’s Institute back in March to help kick off the event.
The Keep Pounding 5K raises awareness and money for pediatric cancer research.
Funding raised through the annual Keep Pounding 5K helps fund patient navigators, wellness outreach programs, clinical research, and provides for the latest technologies, equipment and treatments options to fight cancer. Your support enables both Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital to be able to offer new Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. Thanks to these clinical trials, families have access to the most advanced treatments available where it matters most close to home.
Fundraisers have the ability to direct gifts of $5,000+ to the area, program, or service of their choosing. For more information visit Your Donations.
More than a thousand runners are expected to lace up their sneakers and hit the road on Saturday, June 3rd.
Registration is $30 and you can register HERE.
Each runner is encouraged to raise $51 dollars in memory of Panthers player and assistant coach Sam Mills. He coined the Keep Pounding slogan after being diagnosed with cancer in 2003. He died in 2005.
