Wilson’s World: 10th Annual Keep Pounding Blood Drive
The 10th Annual Keep Pounding Blood Drive continues through 7pm today at Levine Children's Hospital
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – This morning Wilson was at the Levine Children’s Hospital where he was taking us inside at the 10th Annual Keep Pounding Blood Drive. Hosted by the Carolina Panthers along with the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas and Carolinas Healthcare System, the blood drive will benefit more than 27 area hospitals. Their 2016 drive was their largest in history and they want to make this drive even better.
Wilson was joined early by Sir Purr…(who was carted away for bogarting the doughnuts)…as well as members of the Panthers staff who were there to offer their support. The blood drive continues through 7pm this evening. Donors can receive tee shirts and other types of giveaways and they just may also run into a few of their favorite Panther players.
For every pint of blood collected, the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will make a financial contribution to the Keep Pounding Fund to support cancer research efforts at Carolinas Medical Center. One pint can impact up to three patients in local hospitals.
