Charlotte McDonalds’ Employee Fired For Berating Customer In Viral Video

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte McDonalds’ employee was terminated after a woman posted a video on social media of the employee berating her.

Wendi Rios posted a video from the drive-through of the McDonalds on Eastway Drive in east Charlotte.

In the video, the employee is seen yelling “Donald Trump” at the customer and asking her to spell “deportation.”  The video has gone viral and has been shared over 5,000 times.

The owner of the McDonalds provided this statement to WCCB:

“The actions of this employee are inexcusable and in no way reflect the strong values McDonald’s and my organization place on diversity, inclusion and providing a welcoming experience for our customers. This individual is no longer employed at my restaurant and we have expressed our sincerest apologies to the customer for this situation.” – George Forrest McDonald’s Owner/Operator
