Wilson’s World: Visiting the Distribution Center of the Subway Salvation Army Virtual Angel Tree

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – WCCB-TV, Subway and the Salvation Army have kicked off their Subway Salvation Army Angel Tree collections campaign for 2017.  Wilson was at the Salvation Army’s distribution center where gifts for the children are beginning to arrive.

Wilson was joined by Major Larry Broome of the Salvation Army to talk about the need for help with the Angel Tree.  Each year the need seems to grow greater.  Over 10,500 children in the area are in need this region.

For the sixth year area Subway restaurants are partnering with the Salvation Army and WCCB for the Angel Tree.  Wendell Rowell with Subway talked about how guests at their area  restaurants can pick up a card for an Angel while picking up their subs.

A big thank you to Acosta Heating & Cooling.  Lauren Acosta Huckleberry with Acosta presented a large check to help the Subway Salvation Army Angel Tree.

The  Subway Salvation Army Virtual Angel Tree is now live on WCCB’s website.  To choose an Angel go to the WCCB website or click on the link HERE.
