Hip-Hop & Rap Artists Dominate This Year’s Grammy Nominations

The nominations for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards are out and for the first time since 1999, not a single white man is nominated in the Album Of The Year category.
Rapper Jay-Z is this year’s top contender with a total 8 nominations for his album 4:44.
Right behind him is Kendrick Lamar with 7 nominations.
Both are up for Album Of The Year against Bruno Mars, Lorde and Childish Gambino.
Plus, all five songs nominated for 2017′s Record Of The Year came from artists of color.

Some stars that seem like shoo-ins were snubbed in major categories this year.
Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga both released big albums, but both are only nominated in the pop categories.
Taylor Swift’s new album Reputation dropped too late in the year to be considered, but several eligible singles were overlooked.
