Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect In Lancaster

LANCASTER, S.C. — Officials are looking for a man who robbed the Dollar General on Pageland Highway Sunday night.

Deputies were dispatched to the store around 10:41 p. m. and found one customer in the store who came in after the robbery and was unaware that it had occurred.

The store appeared empty, but the two employees on duty had locked themselves in the office and dialed 911.

The employees told officers that a man came into the store brandishing a silver semiautomatic handgun and demanded money. After taking the money, the man left the store in a car, according to authorities.

The business captured images of the man and his car on surveillance. The robber was identified as a black male, wearing jeans, a dark jacket, and a dark ball cap. The car is a dark or metallic colored four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call 911.
