Wilson’s World: Celebrating the “Howlidays” with the Humane Society of Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It’s the holiday season and everyone is busy preparing for fun and family.  Wilson was at the Humane Society of Charlotte where he was asking us not to forget those furry little friends that are in the shelter and are looking for a home this holiday.

The Humane Society has decked out their shelter celebrating the “howlidays.”  They have a lot going on with their Holiday Food Drive, Pet Angel Tree and Christmas Adoption Deliveries.

Pet owners in need who can’t feed their pet can visit the shelter’s pet food bank the first and third Saturdays of each month.  To keep their food bank shelves full, they are always in need of pet food from donors.  They are also in need of food and items for the pets that are currently in the shelter waiting for homes.   Paper towels and puppy pads are just a few of the items that are needed.  Donors can go to the HSC’s website HERE to celebrate the “howlidays” by downloading an ornament from their wishlist to decorate their tree.

And if you are planning on adopting a pet for the holiday, from December 12th through December 23rd anyone who adopts a pet may be able to have their new friend delivered to them on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day by Santa and his Elves.

Find out more about how you can help decorate their tree, donate to the shelter or adopt a new family member, go to the Humane Society of Charlotte’s website at humanesocietyofcharlotte.org.
