Rain And Snow Possible Friday, Below Average Temperatures Continue

Periods of rain are expected Friday with highs in the low 40s. Some snow may mix in at times north and west of Charlotte, but no accumulation is expected. Along I-40 and northwest through the mountains will see a better chance for snow. Rain and snow will linger through Friday night with the entire region seeing at least the chance for some snow. A light accumulation is possible on grassy surfaces, roads will remain snow free. The best chance for an inch or two will be along and northwest of I-40. Conditions will gradually dry out Saturday with cold temperatures lingering through the weekend.
