Hickory Mobile Phone Business Robbed After Suspects Break In Through Roof

HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Police are investigating after robbery suspects broke into a Cricket Wireless store by climbing through the roof.

Officials say they responded to the store on N. Center Street just before 1am on December 6th to find the front door unlocked.

Police believe the suspects were able to enter the store through the air conditioning unit on the roof of the building.

An unknown amount of cellphones and money were taken from the store.  The suspects were captured on surveillance.  Police describe the suspects as young, slender, white males.

One of the suspects was wearing a black zip up hooded vest over a short sleeve gray t-shirt, dark colored blue jeans and black, red, orange and yellow Champion brand tennis shoes with white soles.  This suspect was also wearing a black backpack that has light colored straps that buckle at the chest and waist.

The second suspect was seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a light colored backpack, possibly gray with black trim.  He was wearing black pants that tie at the waist with elastic at the ankles and black, flat bottomed, canvas style, skate type sneakers with lighter colored soles.

Both suspects had what appeared to be dark colored t-shirts over their heads.
