While it’s an alarming figure, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
The holidays can be stressful.
There are cookies to bake, decorating to be done and gifts to buy.
And a lot of people are worried about spending too much money.
According to the website NerdWallet, 56% of Christmas shoppers racked up credit card debt last year.
