Shooting Leads To Homicide Arrest

LANCASTER, SC–Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies were reportedly dispatched to a home where a shooting occurred Thursday night.

Upon arrival, deputies witnessed three suspects, two female and one male about to get into a vehicle and leave the residence.

The female suspects told deputies and investigators that Dequavis Blackmon, 28,  began firing at the car that the shooting victim, Antwan James, 34, was in.

James reportedly rolled out of the car and ran down the street where Blackmon pursued him and continued firing.

James was later found on the ground of a nearby residence by EMS who began treating him, but did not survive his injuries.

Dequavis Blackmon turned himself in early Friday morning.
