Hickory Murder Suspect Turns Himself In

An indictment was served on Thomas Seabrooks Wednesday for the Murder of Michael Gardner after deputies say he turned himself in to authorities.

Seabrooks is currently being held at the Catawba County Detention Facility with no bond.

Hickory, N.C. — Police have issued an indictment for Thomas Alexander Seabrooks, for the murder of Michael Bryan Gardner.

Seabrooks, 32, is known to have work and residential connections in the Stanley County area, Greensboro and Charlotte.

The incident occurred at 929 Main Ave SW, Hickory, NC on November 6, 2017.  Upon arrival officers located the victim, Michael Bryan Gardner of Granite Falls deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

This incident was subsequent to an altercation between Gardner and a known subject.  There have been no charges filed against the other subject at this time.  This investigation is continuing.
