Two Charged After 14-Year-Old Girl Killed In Drive-By Shooting In Chester

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — Two men are facing charges after a 14-year-old girl was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting late Sunday night in Chester.

Chester County deputies say the shooting happened at 9 p.m. on Pinckney Road. Jada Jones died after being hit by gunfire.

Jones, an innocent bystander who did not live at the home where the shooting occurred, was a student in Rock Hill Schools, last attending Rawlinson Road Middle School and Raven Academy during the 2017-2018 school year.

Rapheal Carter, 21, and Hezekiah Tinsley, 19, have each been charged in connection to her murder.

Carter is charged with Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Discharging Firearms into a Dwelling.

Tinsley is charged with Accessory After the Fact of Murder.

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting was gang related.
