WCCB News Rising Celebrity Chef
Chef Troy has been making regular guest appearances on the WCCB News Rising Show for over 3 years; demonstrating his own unique style of food. Chef Troy’s weekly segment “Tuesday’s with Troy” became a weekly feature on the show in March of 2008 and since then Chef Troy has prepared over 600 original recipes live on WCCB Charlotte. Chef Troy has also made several cooking appearances on the Edge.
Troy has teamed up with The Fresh Market as a sponsor for his cooking segments using their fresh products to create his recipes for the show. “The Fresh Market sponsorship is something I have pursued for a long time. I love shopping at their markets because everything is always fresh and they have lots of organic and sustainable food options. As a consumer and chef I couldn’t ask for anything more”.
Troy is a free lance food writer for Carolina Weekly, Examiner.com and Charlotte Style Magazine. He has penned two cookbooks and is working with a literary agent and hopes to have a publication deal for his next book very soon.
Troy has plans to re-open his all grilled restaurant concept, Gagliardo’s Grill, when the right opportunity comes along. For now he is creating concepts for a bar with a limited bar food menu and another full service restaurant as well.
Troy resides in Mooresville, NC where he lives with his wife Tracy along with his two daughters Ally and Isabella.
