On Saturday, June 18th, BENCH will be teaming up with local celebrities, Muggsy Bogues, Sleepy Floyd and others to host Hoops 4 Hope, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the City Center parking lot at the corner of 3rd and Tryon Streets.
Return to event list.The family friendly event will consist of 3 competitive divisions based on ages 13-17, 18-30 and 31+. Additionally, nationally acclaimed “Hoops Magicians” will be performing and playing against a team comprised of local area celebrities and retired sports professionals in the noon hour. Teams, individuals and sponsors can sign up at www.hoops4hopenc.com All proceeds from the event will benefit the Charlotte Empowerment Zone (CEZ) which works to break generational poverty in low income housing throughout Charlotte by empowering the next generation through after school tutoring/mentoring, summer enrichment, year round sports programs and family stabilization. |
