GRANDMAZ’S HANDS HOLDS FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT HOMELESS VETERANS
Return to event list.July 2, 2012 - Charlotte, NC – Grandmaz Hands, a non-profit organization, will hold a Souper Bowl Fundraiser on August 4, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 10: 30 p.m. at AMF Bowling Lanes at 5900 N. Tryon Road, Charlotte NC. “It’s a tragedy that our veterans would have to sleep outside or in shelters. They have stood for us on the battlefield and we should stand with them as they endure the battles of life,” said Fostoria Pierson, founder of Gandmaz Hands. The Souper Bowl fundraiser will provide veterans in the Charlotte Metro area with stable housing, life training skills, career readiness training and mental health counseling. Federal, city, and county officials have shown support for this event and are expected to attend. Charlotte’s own Grandmaz Hands is working in coordination with the Department of Veterans Affairs to bring viable solutions to the Queen City. |
