Day with Artists and Authors at the BHS
Return to event list.August 12 from 1:00 to 5:00 Authors Bob Brown and James Hoffman will be on hand to discuss their work and to sign their books. Bob Brown's book Laughin', Livin' & Learnin is a gathering of short, humorous, witty and sage tales ‘bout folks ‘raised up’ in Belmont, our American cotton mill town. It is guaranteed to give you some good laughs and chuckles. His book Guy Brown Is Back is a true story of a tough young fighter from Belmont. This is more than a "fight" book. Jim Hoffman is the author of Day Trips, The Carolinas, which was named one of the ten must read books of the summer by the Gaston Gazette. He will be on hand to sign and sell his latest books and to discuss the contents of this very interesting and useful piece. Jim is the Director of Marketing at Stowe Botanical Gardens. Artists Sandra Cromlish and Gail Brown, BHS members, will be at their easels demonstrating paint style and techniques used for their work. They will each have pieces of their work on exhibit and on display for your viewing. |
