Charlotte CARES Mentoring Movement, an affiliate of the National CARES Mentoring Movement, will host Listen Up! Young Leaders Have Their Say, a young leaders’ town hall meeting. The Rev. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, prolific author, one of the nation’s most powerful thought leaders and MSNBC commentator, will deliver the keynote address. Jeff Johnson, a political commentator and MSNBC contributor will host, and Susan L. Taylor, founder of the National CARES Mentoring Movement and editor-in-chief emeritus of Essence magazine, will introduce the interactive forum created to give young people what they are longing for: to be heard, respected and responded to.
