9th Annual Plaza Midwood-Chantilly Chili Cook Off Benefiting Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region will take place on Saturday, October 13th. Doors open at noon. Over the past 8 years we've donated over $70,000 to this organization, as all proceeds go directly to them.
Return to event list.Last year we had over 40 teams participate, so there was a lot of chili to be sampled. The cost is $15 at the door and includes a full day of chili tasting, live music from some great local bands, a silent auction featuring goods and services from our local businesses, a raffle that lasts all day, delicious goodies at the bake sale tent, and just all around good fun to enjoy with friends and family - but more importantly, the proceeds go to a great cause! The cook off started when a friend of ours, Clarissa, was diagnosed with breast cancer. The organizers of the event (Goose, Ann and Misha) wanted to show their support for Clarissa, and decided that the Hospice & Palliative Care was a wonderful organization. Hospice & Palliative Care lends themselves locally, which was very important to Goose, Ann and Misha. Every year we have grown and want to continue to do so. We were hoping to get in the Charity Events/Giving Back section to let people know about the event. All work is done by volunteers, and we don't have any budget for advertising.
