The Town of Waxhaw salutes Veterans in a special way, this First Friday! Stop at one of many locations that will have Appreciation Stations at which you can write a letter, color a picture or put together a treat bag for our military personnel currently deployed overseas! Listen to patriotic music as you stroll the streets of North Carolina’s most patriotic town! Watch a live taping of the new internet show Hero’s Voices or get your picture taken in front of a military vehicle actually used in Vietnam. Perhaps your family could take part in an artistic mural titled “The Hands You Protect” being constructed at Eight Legs Gallery! Don’t forget to bring items for Union County Supports our troops! The restaurants and shops will have tons of great discounts and there will be free carriage rides as well! Take the opportunity to thank a veteran by purchasing a brick to be placed on the Military Wall of Honor! We hope to see you on this unique night!
