We all know how much a simple, heartfelt ‘I love you’ means to us, especially when it comes from a child– it warms your heart and brings a smile to your face.

Therefore we are hoping you will help us warm some hearts this Valentine’s Day by participating in the 3rd Annual Love in Action project. Children in the Charlotte community have been asked to design and create “I Love You” cards to be distributed to nursing home residents, ‘Meals on Wheels’ recipients and homeless individuals in our city. These cards restore hope, boost confidence, give happiness and penetrate the hearts of the recipient.

The goal of Love in Action is to replace the feeling of despair and loneliness in those most forgotten. We strive to mobilize people to demonstrate God’s love to any person in need. Our unique approach is to express the message of love through handmade cards from toddlers to teens. Love in Action aims to make February 14th a memorable day for those who may be otherwise forgotten.

Our goal for 2013 has once again expanded. Thanks to a new partnership with Friendship Trays, a card will be given to each of the 700 recipients of their ‘Meals on Wheels’ program. This brings the goal up to 4,200 and we need your help to meet this ambitious goal.
