Learn practical ways to give love and support to the caregiver in your life in a free community education program from The Ivey, the memory care day center in SouthPark. Share tips and wisdom with Josephine Hicks, author of If There’s Anything I Can Do, a book on lessons learned about the vital role friends and loved ones play when illness strikes. The free workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 12 from 2 to 4 pm, repeated at 6 to 8 pm, at The Ivey, 6030 Park South Drive in Charlotte. Pre-registration is requested. With poignant humor and gentle honesty, Hicks uses her experiences as a caregiver to be a real-world guide for everyone who has ever wondered how to help and what to say during the universal experience of navigating disease. Hicks, an attorney in Charlotte, will have books available for purchase and will sign them on request.
