South Carolina's largest three-day "multi-fandom" comic book convention is set to make its debut in this Greenville-Spartanburg area this July 26-28. The three day event, which began in the Charlotte area in 2007, will feature celebrity guests such as David Prowse (who played the iconic role of "Darth Vader" in the popular "Star Wars" movie saga), Alex Vincent (from the "Child's Play" horror series), cast-members from AMC's "The Walking Dead," as well as various other authors, comic book artists, actors, filmmakers, and live entertainers.
Return to event list.Additionally, the event will feature several life-sized movie props from "Doctor Who," "Ghostbusters," and more, as well as "fan groups" costumed characters, a film-festival, gaming tournaments, and a costume contest awarding prizes to the best dressed attendees. Tickets are currently on-sale at several area comic book retailers throughout the Carolinas, as well as online at the MonsterCon website. Tickets range from $40-$45 for weekend passes, $10-$20 for one-day passes, and $100-$105 for all-inclusive VIP Packages. Children 10 and under are admitted Free with accompanying adult.
