CHUY’S HIRING 170 FOR NEW SOUTHPARK LOCATIONReturn to event list.
Tex-Mex Restaurant Opens in June 2013
Charlotte, N.C. (May 7, 2013) – Known for its authentic, freshly made recipes and fun and eclectic atmosphere, Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant Chuy’s plans to open its first North Carolina location in SouthPark at 4310 Sharon Road mid-June. To prepare for the local launch, the restaurant is now hiring approximately 170 team members. Charlotte native, Lynn Thompson, will serve as General Manager.
“The community is going to feel right at home in the restaurant, and we’re looking forward to bringing on the best team possible.” said Thompson. “We can’t wait to open our doors next month.”
Keeping with tradition, the 6,500-square-foot SouthPark location is designed using the company’s motto, “If you’ve seen one Chuy’s, you’ve seen one Chuy’s.” It will incorporate Charlotte flair, such as a “dog wall” featuring pictures of local canines, as well as Chuy’s décor staples: metal palm trees, an Elvis shrine and the Fully-Loaded Nacho Car, an unlimited build-your-own nacho station with chips, salsa, queso and taco meat available during happy hour.
To support its fun and family-friendly atmosphere, Chuy’s will be hiring a variety of positions, including front-of-the-house hosts, servers, bussers and bartenders. In addition, the restaurant is hiring kitchen staff to help prepare its made-from-scratch dishes and signature sauces. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Applications may be printed at Chuys.com.
“From our tortillas, that are hand-rolled throughout the day, to our Salsa Fresca that’s made fresh every hour, Chuy’s is known for our dedication to fresh Tex-Mex dishes at affordable prices,” said Thompson. “We’re looking for employees who are passionate about cooking delicious food, and who have positive attitudes and a commitment to excellent customer service.”
Interested applicants can visit the hiring office Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to
6 p.m. at the back corner of the Dillard’s parking lot in SouthPark mall, behind the future site of Chuy’s restaurant.
