Event Description

Join us as we conquer one of William Shakespeare's most famous works.
Two predominant families, the Montagues and the Capulets have been the source of civil strife in Verona for ages. Until one night, at a masquerade party everything changes.
Romeo, a Montague finds himself smitten with the fair Juliet, a Capulet. Their forbidden love only adds to the intolerance that their families continue to thrive on.
One of Shakespeare's wonderfully tragic stories that has been read in classrooms for decades seeks its rightful place on the stage.
We at Shakespeare Carolina like to spread our vendetta of the classics that were never meant to be read, but rather seen.
We'll show you authentic, period sword fighting, masked identities, and a style of direction that you won't soon forget.
Let us help your children understand Shakespeare that they will study in the school year to come by seeing it first, instead of staring at its pages.
So, practice your "en garde!" and we'll see you at the WINTHROP UNIVERSITY AMPHITHEATER for a night at the theater you won't soon forget!
