HOLLYWOOD, CA - It's time for the American Idol hopefuls to get those thick skins on.  As 250 contestants head to Hollywood to compete the emotions get crazy and the judging gets more intense.  This year there is a twist in the Hollywood competition, the guys will be competing separately from the  girls.  FOX's Adam Housley reports.

Hollywood week on American Idol begins tonight  at 8pm on FOX Charlotte followed by FOX  News @ Ten.
