American Idol Phillip Phillips' Mother ArrestedALBANY,GA-- American Idol Phillip Phillips mom was arrested for DUI in Georgia Friday. Phillips mother, Sheryl Phillips, was observed by an undercover cop swerving her van through lanes of traffic in Albany, Georgia, TMZ. Officials told TMZ, based on what officers observed after the stop... they had reason to believe Sheryl was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Police say they took her into custody after she failed a field sobriety test. Sheryl Phillips appeared on American Idol during her sons championship run last season.
