by WCCB News Edge

Is there a new space race between the U.S. and Russia?  We've been carefully tracking today's huge, frighteningly close asteroid (that totally missed us) for some time.  But countless numbers of Russian dashcams caught video today of a massive metoerite--totally unrelated to our asteroid--breaking up and flashing brightly across skyline before exploding and sending a shockwave that injured about 1000 people.

Besides Russia's obvious attempt at one-upmanship here, are we really upset that we missed out on the explosive display?  Kirk Hawkins and Ashley Anderson discuss the implications and ramifications of Russia's impromptu lightshow.
