 The latest thing Raleigh wants to control?  Your handwriting.  Lawmakers are pushing hard for a new bill requiring elementary school students to learn cursive through the 5th grade.  The so-called "Back to Basics" law blew through the house yesterday.  Now it's up to the Senate to put the ol' John Hancock on it.

Representatives say cursive handwriting is an important part of our society and history.  Their point: both children and adults should know how to use it.  So while state Congress appoints itself the penmanship police, our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder set out to see what you think.
