Man on the Edge - Wedding or Car?

Fact: the average cost of a wedding is more than most people would pay for a brand new car.

The wedding website TheKnot.com has put out its survey on overall costs for weddings.  As of last year, your run-of-the-mill wedding will set you back nearly $29,000.  And that doesn't include the honeymoon.

Turns out the average wedding is only one grand short of the average new car, which--at $30,000--is not something the average American middle-class family can afford.

So if you had to choose just one for 30 grand, which would it be: the wedding of your dreams, or a new car?
