Man on the Edge: Hometown Panther Buyer?

Charlotte Motor Speedway's CEO Bruton Smith dropped a little more than a hint this week on WBT Radio's "Keith Larson Show", when he stated outright that--given the right price--he'd be interested in buying the Carolina Panthers.

Smith also made sure to point out that he would commit to the city, and would not ask it for any money.  He alludes, of course to the multi-million chunk of change Jerry Richardson recently asked of taxpayers to improve Bank of America Stadium.

So if he committed to keep the Panthers here in Charlotte, what do you think of Bruton Smith buying the Panthers?
