Man on the Edge: Favorite Winter Comfort Food?Meals become memories when the weather outside is frightful. And here in the lower elevations of the South, we're known for raiding grocery stores for bread and milk at the first sign of a snowflake or ice. But once the initial alarm begins to wear off, and everyone is snuggled up in their sweatpants and blankets, we usually crave a little more than a bread a milk slushy. Today's wintry mix was the first real taste of winter weather we've had in the Charlotte area this season. And that taste of snow and ice probably leaves you with a taste for something else. Whether it's a bowl of potato soup, a classic mug of Campbell's, or just a simple grilled cheese, everybody has their favorite comfort food they crave when the snow begins to fall and the fire to roar.
