Man on the Edge: What's Gettleman's First Move for the Panthers?
It's one day after the big play, and while that usually means some "Monday morning quarterbacking", we'll accept it on Thursday night. The Panthers have a new man taking over as general manager. And he has a lot to do.
While David Gettleman has a lot on his plate, he has to prioritize something to be first. And that's usually the most important thing that needs to be done. Coach Ron Rivera already survived his meeting with team owner Jerry Richardson, and since we're $16 million over the projected salary cap for 2013, we probably won't be able to pick up much in free agency.
But we do have some solid players to build around. Still, he's walking into the same team that Marty Hurney was let go from... So what should David Gettleman do first to fix the Panthers? Robert Wilder brings the question to you.
