HOLLYWOOD, CA - When we last saw "House" played by Hugh Laurie he was enjoying some time on the beach after driving his car through Cuddy's home following their break-up.

The season premiere jumps a year ahead where we find Dr. House in prison. It's also where we are introduced to new "House" cast member Odette Annable.

"I'm a prison doctor so that's how we meet and he decides to (in his House cranky pants way) decides to butt into my diagnosis and tells me that I'm giving the patient a misdiagnosis," explains Annable.

Actress and comedienne Charlene Yi also joins House's team once he returns to Princeton Plainsboro. Known for comedic roles in "Knocked Up" and on "Conan," it's a big change for Yi.

"Sometimes when I'm acting I don't know if I'm good and if it's accidentally funny and sometimes when I'm trying to be funny I'm like 'what's funny anymore?' I'm completely lost in tone and it's a fun challenge."

After last season's shocking finale can we expect a different "House"?

"You'll have to see how he decides to approach things after he gets back from prison and you know there's definitely two new members in the hospital and that will add a new dynamic to the team because it's sort of old vs new. We're sort of the eyes for the audience," says Annable.

As two new characters come in another will be going out...season 8 of "House" will also say a final goodbye to "Thirteen" played by Olivia Wilde.

"House" airs Monday nights at 9 following "Terra Nova" on FOX CHARLOTTE.
