CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Hartigan's Irish Pub was packed around 5:30 Sunday evening with patrons determined to have a good time.  It's the first football crowd through the doors since 30- year-old Antoinette Baker was stabbed in the pub's parking lot one week ago.  Police have charged 32-year-old Katie Robinson with murder.

"This is the busiest we've been on a game day so far and it's just amazing the support we've received and we can't thank everybody enough," says co-owner Jill Phillips.  She says the light hearted crowd represents another step toward normalcy for the business, but it's just the beginning.  She's also bringing in grief counselors for her staff.  Phillips says, "We don't want this to be seen like a big party or celebration by any means but like I said, it's trying to start the healing process."

Patrons were happy to do their part, one man saying, "Look, I'm just here to have a good time after the game, that's all."  Another patron said, "I've never felt unsafe here."

Earlier in the day, it was a much quieter scene but people still turned up to support the pub.  The make-shift memorial by the front door for Baker is growing.  It includes flowers, cards and monetary donations for the family.

Long-time customers describe Baker's death as an isolated incident.  Mint Hill resident Tonya Whitesides says, "I had no qualms about coming here today. I feel very safe.  I've been coming to this bar for many years now."

"I love this bar and it's sad that it happened by it could happen anywhere.  I don't feel any different about the bar today than I did one year ago," says Cornelius resident Kim Cole.

A CMPD spokesperson tells FOX Charlotte there are no updates on the Baker investigation.  They are asking for more witnesses to come forward.  If you were at Hartigan's last weekend, please call the police.
