7-Year-Old Ejected From Vehicle During Police ChaseSPARTANBURG, S.C.--Police say a 7-year-old was ejected from a vehicle after she took off her seat belt to throw marijuana out the window during a police pursuit. Deputies were conducting a traffic crackdown when they noticed a SUV driving erratically. Deputies say the SUV was going more than 100mph during the pursuit before the vehicle crashed. Authorities say the child's aunt was driving and they believe she told the girl to throw the drugs out the window. A half-pound of marijuana was found in the SUV after the crash. The child is in critical condition. The driver suffered broken bones but she is expected to make a full recovery. Charges are pending at this time. |
