Bystander Shot During Robbery Attempt in NW Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Police say a bystander was shot during a robbery attempt in northwest Charlotte early Friday morning. 

Investigators say the incident happened just after 5 a.m. at a Raceway gas station on Brookshire Boulevard. 

According to detectives, the victim was in the parking lot at the same time another person was being robbed. 

During the robbery, a shot was fired and the button grazed the bystander.  They were taken to a local hospital but are expected to make a full recovery. 

Police are questioning a person of interest in the case.
