MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- The parents of a 2-year old child were taken into custody Wednesday for the death of their child, which happened almost one year ago.

Captain Cook, of the Mooresville Police Department, told us today that the couple, Nicholas Clark, 22, and Sheila Hendley, 21, were arrested in Georgetown County, SC. They will be extradited back to North Carolina in the next ten days.

Police and Medic responded to their former residence on Sharpe Street in the middle of the night back in March 2012. The child was transported to the Lake Norman Regional Center, where they later died.

Clark and Hendley are charged with firs degree murder and two counts of felony child abuse.
