Driver Facing Charges After Pedestrian Killed in UptownCHARLOTTE, N.C.--A driver is facing charges after police say he hit and killed a man walking to work in Uptown. Phillip Boone Sr. has been charged with death by motor vehicle and failure to yield right of way. Investigators say Boone's dump truck struck Brett Morgan as he was walking across College Street. Morgan was walking in a crosswalk.
