Drug Deal Leaves One Dead in West Charlotte ShootingCHARLOTTE, NC -- UPDATE: Police have identified two males in the shooting death of Justin Glenn. Zamario Blakeney and Lakeem Baker are currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Detention Center. Both men face murder charges. Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a Charlotte man after he was shot and killed on Thanksgiving. According to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police, the call came in for one shot around 10:30 p.m. on Ambassador Street in west Charlotte. Upon arrival, officers say they located a black male suffering from a gunshot wound; he was later pronounced deceased on scene. Based on information processed at the scene, police say this was not a random act of violence and the victim and suspect were meeting to conduct a drug transaction. Later, an altercation between the two occurred and the suspect fired a weapon striking the victim. There is no word yet on the victim's or suspect's information.
