Former CRVA Chief Tim Newman Arrested

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Tim Newman, the former chief executive of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, has been arrested. 

Records show Newman was taken into custody late Tuesday night by N.C. State Highway Patrol. 

He is facing driving while impaired and hit and run charges.  Newman served as CEO for the CRVA until December of 2011.
