Gastonia Patrol Car Stolen During Car Break-In Investigation

GASTONIA, N.C. -- While a Gastonia police officer was responding to several incidents of car break-ins, his own vehicle was stolen.

According to a police report, the suspect, Jason Tate, broke into the officer's patrol car near Leather and Lace around 3 a.m.

Tate is charged with attemped larceny, resisting public officer and interfering with emergency communnications.
