Gastonia Woman Threatens To Blow Up Police Department

GASTONIA, N.C.--It's never a good idea to threaten to blow up a police department but a Gastonia woman is accused of doing just that! 

Investigators say Amanda Barnes walked into the Gaston County Police Department Sunday morning with a lighter and a gas can. 

She apparently had some sort of encounter with an officer in the parking lot an hour earlier. 

Barnes faces a felony charge of attempting malicious damage to a government building by explosives.
