BLOOMINGTON, I.N.-- The son of NBA legend Larry Bird was arrested after trying to run over his ex-girlfriend with his car.
Indiana University police arrested the son of basketball great Larry Bird on Sunday morning. Connor Anthony Bird's ex-girlfriend told police that he threw his cellphone at her during an argument and then drove his car at her. Bird, 21, is a student at Indiana University's Bloomington campus.
He now faces charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery and injury, and possession of marijuana. A Monroe County officer said Tuesday that he was no longer in custody.
