Officers Arrest Man With 57 Marijuana Plants In HouseSTANLY COUNTY, NC - On Thursday, the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office received a tip about a marijuana growing operation on Hatley Burris Rd in Stanfield. Around 10pm, officers went to the home to investigate and discovered an elaborate growing operation containing mature marijuana plants ranging in size from thirty- six to forty- eight inches in height. Investigators seized 57 marijuana plants, multiple growing lamps, potting soil and fertilizer. Stephen Larry Bumgardner was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping and Selling Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is currently under a $10,000 dollar bond awaiting trial. |
