CHARLOTTE,NC--A south Charlotte neighborhood targeted by thieves is hoping car decals curb the crime.

CMPD Westover division passed out stickers in the Madison Park neighborhood that cops say are meant to help officers know which cars belong to residents.

The program started two years ago after a spike in break-ins in the area.

The homeowners association is planning to mail out the rest of the decals to the Madison Park  neighborhood.
