GRANITE FALLS, N.C.--Police say one person was shot and killed Thursday night in Caldwell County. 

The shooting happened on Kistler Lane near Starnes Road shortly after 5 p.m.  Detectives have one person in custody. 

Investigators have not released the name of the person killed.
